After leaving the Army I started to travel, mostly on motorbikes and then as a travel photographer.  Then I had to take life seriously and became involved in business; marketing, finance and technology.

My friend Richard left the Army after me and policed the valleys of southern Wales (his stories are always much more interesting than mine) and we tried to get in as many adventures as we could.

We rode our bikes to north Wales to the Dee Valley and climbed up to Castell Dinas Bran above Llangollen, lying in shadow in the valley as the sun set, the uplands remaining lit around us and we talked about when days would be full of adventures.
